We just launched WhisperDocs.
It's a set of PDF tools — merge, split, compress, encrypt, sign, redact — that process everything in your browser. Your files never leave your device. Not for a second.
## Why We Built This
Every PDF tool we tried uploads your files to a server. Smallpdf sends them to Google Cloud. ILovePDF holds them for 2 hours. Adobe processes them on their servers.
We're not okay with that. Especially when the files contain contracts, tax returns, medical records, or employee data.
So we built something different. Client-side processing using pdf-lib and PDF.js. AES-256 encryption. Works offline. No Google Analytics.
## The WiFi Test
Here's our favorite party trick: turn off your WiFi and try any of our tools. They still work. Every single one. Because nothing ever needs to go online.
Don't trust us? Open your browser's DevTools, switch to the Network tab, and merge a PDF. Count the requests. There are zero.
